Spellmaster II Patch Notes: 0.0.12


A new update is now available for Spellmaster II (version 0.0.12, based on source code revision 6600434cbb27). Patch notes for this version follow.


Spellmaster II Preview Release 0.0.12 (14 April 2016)

Improvements:

  • Added code to calculate converted resource cost for Intryon cards. This value is now appended to card names in the deck builder and the manually add card dialog.
  • Implement a pseudorandom shuffle for Intryon games where you are guaranteed to be able to play ships for the first 3 turns (experimental). This shuffle mode can be toggled on/off as a battle setting in the lobby screen.
  • 7 cards are now automatically drawn at the beginning of an Intryon game. Mulligan now also draws 7 cards after being used. Performing a mulligan also now runs the pseudoshuffle if it is enabled.

Balance changes:

  • Add a new 3-cost Mirali ship (T'Piro Eldar) based on a card idea from Martin. The purpose is to experiment with an alternative Mirali starter deck build that might be more balanced (they are heavily weighted in 4-cost ships currently and they seem to have a strong edge here causing them to win most games).
  • Reduced cost-per-round of Electromagnetic Disruptor activated ability from 4 to 3.
  • Nerfed the Prismatic Inverter Lens.

Bug fixes:

  • Fix updated Kiro Miral having incorrect rarity set.
  • Allow round to be decremented back to 0.

Improvements:

  • Added a new background image for Dragons of Tarkir.

Balance changes:

  • Talon exchanged Disruption for Spearhead 1
  • Valadius exchanged Spearhead 2 for Disruption
  • Valadius changed from 3/1/2 to 2/1/3
  • Astrodemus changed from 6/4/8 to 6/3/8 but gains Adaptable 1
  • Shieldshredder Cannons cost from 5 to 4
  • Block Communications cost from 5 to 4
  • Drain Shields cost from 6 to X(min 3)
  • Added Electromagnetic Disruptor
  • Kiro Miral changed from 5/5/6 with +X/+X/+0 for mineral fields to 5/4/6 with +X/0/0

General:

  • Experimental cards removed now they aren't needed any more.

Bug fixes:

  • Fix misrendered Adami E'lun.

Spellmaster II Preview Release 0.0.9 (12 April 2016)

Improvements:

  • Updated to jGinENGINE version 0.2.1. This removes the version number from the title bar so that the game works better with Discord's game detection feature.
  • Clarified the help text of some Intryon keywords.

Experimental changes:

  • Added temporary variants of some cards to test possible balance tweaks.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed not being able to mulligan in round 0.
  • Fixed the 'copy deck' dialog only allowing 20 characters to be entered (instead of 30)

Spellmaster II Preview Release 0.0.8 (10 April 2016)

Improvements:

  • The starting round for a new match is now 0 rather than 1. This change is made to prevent people with multi-coloured decks from seeing their first resource too early.
  • The help text for Protector has been adjusted.
  • Added menu links for bug tracker, patch notes and web translator.
  • Added keyboard shortcuts LCTRL + LSHIFT + LEFT/RIGHT in order to move cards around on the battlefield and hand.
  • Minor stance code adjustment.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a padding calculation which caused mouse clicks to bleed through part of the social frame.
  • Fixed a bug where card management keybinds would still work when the social frame was open.
