GIF is a light-hearted 2D platformer with a semi-retro/cartoony vibe. The objective is simple - try not to get frustrated. Although you will inevitably get frustrated.
Enjoy the optimistic look of your smiling blue cube while you can. You're going to need it as you guide the cube through a series of simple but increasingly challenging levels featuring precision platforming and puzzle solving gameplay. The further you get, the harder it becomes and the more frustrating your failure will be.
Later, after overcoming your inevitable frustration, you can replay your "favourite" levels in order to improve your best time, earn ranked medals based on your performance, and unlock new player skins. You can also compete with your friends on the in-game leaderboard to see who can complete each level the fastest.

Didn't you release this game before?
GIF was originally released in 2009 as a small hobby project. That early version of the game is more of a proof-of-concept prototype than a serious game, and lacks in both production quality and content. However, it did serve as inspirational material which could be built on.
The 2019 release is a full remastering and re-imagining of GIF. Every aspect of the game has been completely rebuilt from the ground up with high production quality values in mind. The new version looks stunning in HD and 4K resolutions and now features 75 levels spread across three zones, giving you even more things to be frustrated by. It also includes a brand new original soundtrack.
The original/classic version of GIF continues to remain freely available as part of the Legacy Project Series in order to help provide a better historical overview of Ginever Entertainment projects. It is known to have various glitches, including some physics glitches, and has known compatibility issues with Windows 8. There are no plans to fix these, since this ancient version of GIF has now been completely superseded by the commercial remaster.
