The Seasonal Skin will be updated with a Christmas backdrop and falling snow, in the same fashion as last year. As well as the decorative changes to the site, there will be a ton of Christmas-related topics to post in. We want to know what presents you got for Christmas this year! We will also have two simultaneously-running creative challenges in order to help get you into the creative world of Christmas. We're going to be really generous with the points, so here will be your chance to really take a shot at winning a CC!
Minecraft will be really interesting. We've updated the spawn with a Christmas theme, thanks to the efforts of the server's largest faction, SafetyPandas. It now looks really festive, and that's great! We're also organising a present give-away on December 24th -- providing you log on between 10.00 AM UTC and 10.00 PM UTC, you'll be entitled to claim a Festive Goodie Bag, which will contain some hard-to-obtain items. Just think of what gifts you might receive this Craftmas!
World of Warcraft will be following a similar theme. Winter Veil should be working on all realms, and we'll be sending Christmas presents to the mailbox of your highest levelled character - so look out for that on Christmas morning!
The Community Radio will be diversifying from its regular bunch of dreary tunes, and will broadcast a much more festive selection of music. We're hoping to do some live interviews via Mumble, and you'll be encouraged to have your say on just what would make your Christmas perfect! There will be tons of competitions and challenges to take part in every day in the run up to Christmas, and they will be exclusive to the radio, so don't forget to tune in! The plan is currently to start the manned radio broadcasts on Monday December 19th, where they will run until Saturday December 24th. This is subject to change however, since I need to prioritise my university work. Hopefully, if I can sort out the Mumble-to-Radio link, Medessec should be able to operate the radio at various points throughout the day, even if I'm not able to.
The LAN Party this Christmas will take place on Tuesday December 27th starting at 10.00 AM UTC and finishing fairly late (probably around midnight UTC). Don't forget to install all of the games in the clan rotation if you're planning to attend!
Martin will be producing A Very SQUEAL Christmas, so look out for that!
Finally, don't forget to vote for Member of the Year for 2011 if you haven't already done so.
There will hopefully be some more in store besides what I've listed here, so be sure to check back here soon, as I'll do my best to update this post with all the latest info.
